Beautiful miniature by Jean-Baptiste Soyer (1752-1828), painted around 1790 and of which there is a second version (sold by Christie’s june 2008). Our miniature has a signature lower right, in white, partially covered by a false signature "Dubois" later reported.TECHNIQUE:
