Beautiful miniature portrait by Marie-Gabrielle Capet, signed on the tree trunk on the left : Mr. Gabrielle Capet. The young man in blue striped frock coat and red vest, wears a long natural hair but still powdered. This work can be dated back to the 1795’s, painted shortly after the portrait lent by our gallery at the Museum of Caen for its exhibition in 2014 (catalogue no. 13)TECHNIQUE:
