Beautiful portrait signed, dated and identified on the reverse : "Margaret daughter of Colonel Waller painted by A. Dixon 1878".

Annie Dixon worked for the English royal family, we find some of her works at the Victoria and Albert museum and at Windsor Castle. 

Léo Schidlof underlined the influence of Sir William Ross on the work of Annie Dixon, as well as the pictorial quality of the artist whose miniatures on ivory have a porcelain aspect
