This rare watercolor on vellum undoubtedly decorated the lid of a snuffbox of great price, offered by the royal family, of which only the miniature was preserved and presented by the family in this gilded wood cenotaph, to the glory of the French monarchy, specifying the royal provenance.
CONDITION:
Very good condition for the miniature on vellum, separated from the flat glass by a blue velvet marie-louise, restorations to the woodwork
