Self-portrait in miniature of Suzanne Bonnal de Noreuil, alias Mirandoline (1888 -aft.1960), painted in Hanoi in 1920. Suzanne Bonnal de Noreuil was the pupil of Frédéric Humbert, Laforge and Gabrielle Debillemont-Chardon and member of the French artists from 1923. She obtained the Grand Prix of golden frames in 1952. We find her in the exhibition : " of the Red river in the Mekong, Visions of Vietnam " to the Museum Cernuschi. Indeed, the artist lived in Indochina from 1920 to autumn 1940. Suzanne Bonnal de Noreuil spent a part of her life in Hanoi where she exercised her portrait painter's activity. Numerous notables of the capital of Indochina (Annamite or European) were painted by this artist, going from Hanoi, Hué, Dalat, Haiphong, Chapa... In the dismantling of the miniature appeared a handwritten mention specifying that this self-portrait was intended to be given to the Louvre museum.TECHNIQUE:
