The Coliseum : very fine miniature by Louis-Gabriel Moreau, says the elder. Painter of the comte d' Artois (brother of King Louis XVI), he is considered, rightly, as one of the best landscape painters of his time. Wildenstein dedicated a work to this artist whose original works are rather rare. Often imitated, Louis-Gabriel Moreau's miniatures are of such a quality of delicacy and precision, as they suffer no comparison.TECHNIQUE:
