DESCRIPTION :

 Fine miniature by Louis Marie Sicard said Sicardy (or Sicardi). Painted around 1780, it depicts a man in pageant armor, wearind a cross of Saint-Louis. Sicardy offers here a remarkable portrait, full of strength and spirit, mixing with talent smile and intelligence, a portrait which remind those of his contemporary Maurice Quentin de La Tour (1704-1788)
