PERIN-SALBREUX Louis Lié (1753-1817), PORTRAIT OF LADY , MINIATURE AND CHAÂTELAINE CIRCA 1790
Beautiful portrait by Louis-Lié Périn-Salbreux, painted around 1790, showing a Lady in bust, wearing a bonet wrapped by blue silk ribbon. The miniature kept its frame of origin, says "fausse-montre" (false-watch) , with two sides. It is hung on to a chiselled and golden "chatelaine" of the 18th century, as well as were worn those "false watch" frames in the time. This miniature was exhibited in Reims in 2020, during the Périn-Salbreux exhibition (Le Vergeur museum), which presented for the first time assembled works by Périn from the Louvre, Versailles and private collections.
